Food Oshokuji-dokoro Tulip
Kamameshi, pot-cooked rice, set, created by a former chef at a hotel, is great for its large portion. Many out-of-prefecture customer come to revel its taste.
Oshokuji-dokoro Tulip was opened in 1995 when Mr. Kobashikawa, who worked at a Japanese restaurant in a resort hotel, returned to his home city, Kin-cho. It is a popular restaurant among diner-enthusiasts in Okinawa, for its authentic dishes at reasonable prices and in generous portion size.
Looking at the menu, you will find names of the regulars, “Tsugeyama’s favorite Kamameshi.” This shows Kobashikawa’s character, to value his customers.
The menu features Japanese dishes that can be ordered in a set with Kamameshi including, Nabeyaki Udon and Shogayaki, and also curry rice, Okinawa Soba, and spaghetti. The popular “Kamameshi and Tonkatsu set” (pictured) is served in a generous portion size.
“Kamameshi and Miso soup” set, with Okinawa-style Miso soup flavored with a unique blend of Miso, has nostalgic flavors. The Miso soup has seasonal organic vegetables, grown by Kobashikawa’s brother, Shima Tofu, and Soki.
The restaurant has table seating, and floor seating that allows you to enjoy the Okinawa-style residential accommodations. It is nice to spend a relaxing time, in a local atmosphere.
