The beautifully maintained gateball field is a place for local residents to relax
It has been a very important location for the Namisato area since the olden days, as there used to be a well with spring water
The story behind the name of Moshinu Forest Park is that it is located in front of a house named “Moshi” (Nakata family).
There is a beautifully maintained gateball field, as well as lighting and a gazebo, making it a place for local residents to relax.
There used to be a well with spring water, known as “nundulchiga,” where the gateball field is now, and this was a place where Kin Noro would worship together with Anaga and Tidanga on New Year’s Day before the war.
There is a place of worship that was transferred to a part of the park upon the establishment of the facilities.
Prior to 1897, this was a place where the women of the village would practice usudeku, which was performed for a religious dance for deity worship.
The pine tree that is currently standing is said to have been planted around 1935 by the youth organization at the time.
