Kinbushi
I harvested kuba at Kin
Harvested bamboo at Afuso
Shaved the bamboo thin at Seragaki
And finished the Kubagasa hat at Onna

It is inferred from old Ryukyuan documents that Kinbushi, whose author is unknown, was composed before the second half of the 18th century.
The song likens the making of Kubagasa hats to the journey made by the Kubagasa makers from Kinbu, through Afuso and Seragaki, to Onna.
The monument was constructed in 2000.
