Food Asahi Welfare Association Employment Support Center DREAM
Hardworking staff delivering fresh
vegetables and homemade bread from
our own vegetable garden.
Asahi Social Welfare Association, which is deeply rooted in Kin Town, opened the vegetable and bread shop “Dream” as one of the businesses of the employment support center. The shop is now firmly imbedded in the community with its popular fresh vegetables and freshly baked bread.
It started out as a community workshop about twenty years ago when Gushiken bakery shared their bread recipe. Three years later, they opened their own bread shop.
Most of the vegetables sold are from their own garden.
Five or six kinds of produce in season are offered for sale.
The bread is made at a different facility.
Loaves of bread, sweet buns, and savory breads all look delicious.
The staff of 10 take turns manning the shop, as well as taking turns making deliveries around town.
The shop has a warm atmosphere and although the people who work there are quiet, they treat their customers politely, and kindly offered us umbrellas as we took photos on a rainy day.
People living in the area, please be sure to try their delivery service.
